Dorothea Levy

Dorothea Levy wurde am 26. Januar 1909 in Samter geboren, das damals zu Preußen gehörte. Später lebte sie mit ihrem Mann Albert in Berlin. Nach der Machtübernahme der Nationalsozialisten im Jahr 1933 machten Berufsverbote und massive Ausgrenzungen der jüdischen Bevölkerung ein geregeltes Leben unmöglich. Im März 1943 wurde Dorothea Levy in das Vernichtungslager Auschwitz deportiert und wahrscheinlich sofort nach der Ankunft mit Zyklon B ermordet. Dorothea Levy war 34 Jahre alt.

Dorothea Levy was born on the 26th of January 1909 in Samter, then a part of the German province of Prussia. Later she lived with her husband Albert in Berlin. After the National Socialists took power in 1933, Jews were banned from professional life and excluded socially, making it impossible for them to live normally. In March 1943 Dorothea Levy was deported to the Auschwitz extermination camp and probably murdered upon arrival with Zyklon B. Dorothea Levy was 34 years old.
