Abraham David Roth

Abraham David Roth wurde 1916 im polnischen Nowy Sacz geboren. Er war der Sohn von Isaac und Regina Roth und wuchs mit fünf Geschwistern auf. Abraham Roth wurde Kaufmann. Am 6. September 1939 besetzten deutsche Truppen Nowy Sacz. Drei Jahre später deportierte die SS über 10.000 jüdische Einwohner in das Vernichtungslager Belzec und ermordete sie mit Motorabgasen, darunter auch Abraham David Roths Familie. Er selbst wurde wahrscheinlich in der nahe gelegenen Kleinstadt Ropczyce erschossen. Die Umstände seines Todes sind nicht bekannt.

Abraham David Roth was born in 1916 in the Polish town of Nowy Sacz. He was the son of Isaac and Regina Roth and grew up with five siblings. Abraham Roth became a merchant. On the 6th of September 1939 German troops occupied Nowy Sacz. Three years later the SS deported more than 10,000 Jews from the town to the Belzec Extermination Camp and murdered them with engine exhaust fumes – including Abraham David Roth’s family. He himself most likely was shot in the nearby small town of Ropczyce. The exact circumstances of his death are unknown.
