Shmuel Radovski

Shmuel Radovski lebte in Wilna, der heutigen Hauptstadt von Litauen. Er heiratete Malka Benski und hatte mit ihr zwei Töchter. Die Familie besaß ein Großhandelslager und ein Lebensmittelgeschäft und galt als wohlhabend. Nach dem Einmarsch deutscher Truppen im Juni 1941 musste das Ehepaar Radovski im Ghetto von Wilna leben und Zwangsarbeit leisten. Bis zum Ende des Jahres erschossen Mitglieder des SS-Einsatzkommandos 3 und litauische Kollaborateure 33.000 Juden im Wald von Ponary. Die genauen Umstände des Todes von Shmuel Radovski sind nicht bekannt.


Shmuel Radovski lived in Vilnius, today the capital of Lithuania. He married Malka Benski and they had two daughters. The family owned a wholesale warehouse and a grocery, and were considered well-off. After the invasion of German troops in June 1941, the Radovskis were forced to live in the Vilna ghetto and perform hard labour. By the end of the year, members of SS mobil killing unit 3 and Lithuanian collaborators had shot 33,000 Jews in the forest of Ponary. The exact circumstances of Shmuel Radovski’s death are not known.
