Hirsch Waldmann

Hirsch Waldmann lived in the small town of Chołojów, then in Poland, about 60 kilometres from Lwów. In the summer of 1941 the German Wehrmacht took over the area. Immediately, the occupiers forced the Jews to work as slave labourers. On 15 September of that year, German and Ukrainian police drove the Jews to the edge of the town and shot them. Only a few were able to escape. It is likely that Hirsch Waldmann was among those murdered.
