Shlomo Meisler

Shlomo Meisler lebte in der polnischen Kleinstadt Szczurowice, nahe Lemberg. Viele der jüdischen Bewohner arbeiteten als Schnapsbrenner oder Gastwirte, andere bewirtschafteten Waldstücke in der Umgebung. Im Sommer 1941 marschierten deutsche Truppen ein. Vermutlich musste Shlomo Meisler wie alle Juden der Stadt im Herbst 1942 in ein Durchgangsghetto in Sokal oder Brody umsiedeln. Hier verliert sich seine Spur.

Shlomo Meisler lived in the small Polish town of Szczurowice, near Lwów. Many of the Jewish residents worked as distillers or as innkeepers, while others managed small forest plots in the area. In the summer of 1941, German troops took over the town. It is likely that Shlomo Meisler was forced to move into a transit ghetto in Sokal or Brody in the autumn of 1942, together with the rest of the town's Jews. From that point, there is no further trace of him.
