Mania Zaif

Mania Zaif lebte in der Kleinstadt Sambor im polnischen Galizien. Im Sommer 1941 begannen die deutschen Behörden mit der systematischen Verfolgung und Ermordung der Juden von Sambor. Deutsche Polizisten ermordeten in den folgenden Monaten über 500 Juden bei Massenerschießungen auf dem jüdischen Friedhof. Die übrigen Juden wurden in das Vernichtungslager Belzec deportiert und dort mit Motorabgasen vergiftet. Von Mania Zaif hat man nie mehr etwas gehört.

Mania Zaif lived in the small town of Sambor in Polish Galicia. In the summer of 1941 German authorities commenced with the systematic persecution and murder of the Jews of Sambor. In the months that followed, German police murdered more than 500 Jews in mass shooting operations at the Jewish cemetery. The remaining Jews were deported to Belzec extermination camp, where they were poisoned with engine exhaust fumes. Mania Zaif was never heard of again.
