Klára Vajda lebte im ungarischen Székesfehérvár. Nach der Besetzung Ungarns durch das Deutsche Reich Anfang 1944 begann die SS auch hier mit der systematischen Verfolgung der jüdischen Einwohner. Ende Mai 1944 wurden 2700 Juden der Region von SS und Polizeikräften in ein provisorisches Ghetto gedrängt und anschließend in eine Ziegelei vor der Stadt gesperrt. Kurz darauf deportierte die SS sie nach Auschwitz-Birkenau, wo fast alle mit Giftgas erstickt wurden. Unter den Opfern war auch Klára Vajda.

Klára Vajda lived in the Hungarian city of Székesfehérvár. After the German Reich occupied Hungary in early 1944, the SS began their systematic persecution of local Jews. At the end of May 1944 the SS and auxiliary police forced 2,700 Jews from the area to move into a temporary ghetto, and then shut them into a brick factory outside the city. Shortly afterward, the SS deported them to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Extermination camp, where almost all of them were asphyxiated with poison gas. Among the victims was Klára Vajda.
