Roza Wilner wurde 1920 in Przemyśl im heute polnischen Karpatenvorland geboren. Ein Drittel der Einwohner war jüdisch. Im Juni 1941 besetzte die Wehrmacht die Stadt. Ein Jahr später wurde ein Ghetto errichtet. Im Sommer 1942 wurden mehr als zwölftausend Juden in das Vernichtungslager Belzec deportiert. Roza Wilner was born in 1920 in Przemyśl, in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, now part of Poland. One third of the residents were Jews. In June 1941 the Wehrmacht occupied the town. A year later a ghetto was established. In the summer of 1942 more than twelve thousand Jews were deported to the Belzec Extermination camp. The exact circumstances of Roza Wilner’s death are unknown. She was 22 year old.
