Michał Gutharc lived in the town of Annopol, southeast of the Polish university town of Lublin. Most of the Jews living in the area were deported in the autumn of 1942 to the Belzec extermination camp, where they were poisened with motor exhaust fumes. The fate of Michał Gutharc remains unknown.
