Tauba Weisapel

Tauba Weisapel wurde in der polnischen Hauptstadt Warschau geboren, in damals ein Drittel der Bevölkerung Juden waren. Mit dem Einmarsch der deutschen Wehrmacht Ende September 1939 begann auch für sie die Zeit der Verfolgung. Ab Herbst 1940 musste sie, wie alle Juden der Stadt, im Ghetto leben. Tauba Weisapel starb 1942, entweder an den Lebensbedingungen im Warschauer Ghetto oder, wie viele seiner Bewohner in einem Vernichtungslager. Die genauen Umstände ihre Todes sind nicht bekannt. Sie wurde 34 Jahre alt.

Tauba Weisapel was born in the Polish capital of Warsaw, which was home to one third of the Jewish people. With the arrival of the German Army at the end of September 1939, the period of persecution began for her. As of the autumn of 1940 she and all the Jews of the city had to move into Warsaw's ghetto. Tauba Weisapel died 1942, either as a result of the terrible living conditions in the Warsaw Ghetto, or after being deported to an extermination camps with other ghetto residents. The exact circumstances of her death are not known. She was 34 years old.
